Here is a little bio about Clemson Freeride The Gnarliest Club at Clemson University Here is how it began... Clemson Freeride was originally founded in the fall of 2006. It was started by the fearless leader Jonathan "Papa Bear" Howlette who came to Clemson University with a passion for extreme mountain biking held deep in his loins. Following him was an entourage of thrillseekers destined to change mountain biking in Clemson. The rest is history in the making. Clemson Freeride built its first downhill trail, sometimes referred to as "Juevos del Tigre", which was finished in the spring of 2007. The club has also just finished another thrilling end to the already popular downhill course. The club has also resurrected an ancient dual slalom course (circa 2001) which was so highly acclaimed that conference championships were held on it. The club raced in the SECCC aka "Dirty South" collegiate conference with a strong desire to succeed. This mindset of determined led one such Bryan Davis to a conference championship in dual slalom.
